I want to make sure that if you have come across my blog - that you are aware of the current situation.

A land has been stolen and occupied for 75+ years. In the past few months, bombardments have been extremely heavy and even this statement is an understatement.

Flour. A food source. Was used to lure starved families from their children and homes. Then, as they piled around the food that they where eager to get back to their families to consume they where brutally un-alived. I wish I could say this was a line for a fiction novel. It's not. It happened in real life. To be more specific - the North of Gaza.

The crimes commited by Israel has been heinous to say the least. We are living during a genocide.

The point of this post was to remind you not to be silent and bring awareness if you do not know whats going on.

We do not live in a time where you can say "I didn't know". No. You can very well know and it takes little effort on your part to learn. I do understand there is a navigation process between accurate and poor information and I am here to help mitigate that process a little more for you.

There is no middle stance. If you are not fighting for Palestine then you stand with the enemy. I realize this may be hard to face. Let me help you.

30,000 innocent lives.

Americans in the USA live in poverty, can barely make ends meet, struggle to provide for our families, lack free education and healthcare. Yet we send out how much money in taxes? Daily. Monthly. Yearly.

Where does that money go if our people here are still suffering?

It goes to Israel, no really. And guess what! Free living, education, healthcare... You paid for it. For them.

So you cannot say the Palestine "problem" isnt our own. The fact that this is a humanitarian crisis should be significant enough, but if not enough for you then remember the problems of our country, you are aiding them.

So, now is the time to be more vocal if you havent already.

We are quite literally living through a genocide and what have you done?

This is not to target you. I want you to rise up. For humanity, for your country, for your family.

One day, this will be in the history books. I know I don't want to ever have to be the person to say I didnt try.

So I leave you with this story of the bird and the water droplets.

The decision to have Ibrahim burned at the stake was affirmed by the temple priests and the king of Babylon, namrood. The news spread like fire in the kingdom and people were coming from all places to watch the execution. A huge pit was dug up and a large quantity of wood was piled up. Then the biggest fire people ever witnessed was lit.

The flames were so high up in the sky that even the birds could not fly over it for fear of being burnt themselves. Ibrahim's hands and feet were chained, and he was put in a catapult, ready to be thrown in. During this time, Angel Jibreel came to him and said: "O Ibrahim! Is there anything you wish for?" Ibrahim could have asked to be saved from the fire or to be taken away, but Ibrahim replied, "No. I only wish that Allah be pleased with me."

The catapult was released and Ibrahim was thrown into the fire. Allah then gave an order to the fire, "O fire! Be coolness and safety for Ibrahim." A miracle occurred; the fire obeyed and burned only his chains. Ibrahim came out from it as if he was coming out from a garden, peaceful, his face illuminated and not a trace of smoke on his clothes. People watched in shock and exclaimed: "Amazing! Ibrahim's God has saved him from the fire!"

But during this... a brave bird took action.

She was a small bird. When fire set ablaze she took mouth full of water in her beak and you can imagine how small in quantity it could be. She begins her flight and start moving towards fire in which Hz. Ibrahim (as) was thrown.

Her intention was to spill that water over the flame in order to extinguish it. During her flight she was questioned by an angel "where are you going and what would you do with this drop of water". She replied that I am going to the fire and spill it over fire; my intention is to save Hz. Ibrahim (as) from fire.

The angel smiled and replied, "do you really think you would stop fire by this mere drop of water"? The bird replied that "I dont know whether this is enough or not but this is my whole capacity what i could able to do and on the day of judgement when Allah will question me that what i had done to extinguish the fire in which the Hz. Ibrahim (as) was thrown then i can reply that i had tried my best".

She said, “I am sure Allah will not ask me whether I managed to put out the fire or not, but Allah will ask what I did to stop the fire”.

As she can bring only that much of water so she did her part.

The fact was that the fire wouldn’t get any colder but at least her drop of water, her responsibility, and her contributions were there.

MashAllah this story says so much. First, all aid comes from The Most High. Second, we shouldn't relinquish our ability and efforts to help another just because we feel minicle. That one act has a powerful impact on our character and will make waves for those who are watching. Send your water droplets and guide others to join you.
